Western Carribean Cruise Dec 14-21, 08

We went on a cruise in December. It was my first cruise ever (if you don't count the Nile cruise in Egypt - but that was just a hotel on water that took us to our next sight-seeing place while we slept at night), and Dixon's second. And Titan's first too. This is the boat that we sailed on. During one of our excursion, Titan hogged-tied me with the leash that I put on him. The leash was a life saver (literally!- it stopped him from jumping in the ocean many times) He didn't like wearing it much, so I think this was his way of getting back at me.
Each night our Cabin Stewart would leave a towel folded into a different animal. Each night before bed Titan would give the towel animal a kiss. Awww!

Titan loved the pool on the boat. He would run along the egde of it an then jump into Dixon's arms.

Each night we had dinner on the boat with our good friends Deb and Joe Parsons. They are friend we met in Italy. We had a blast with them!

We went to HELL in the Cayman Islands. It is called hell because of the rock formation that is there.

We also went to the Boatswain' Turtle Farm. It was lots of fun to see all the Turtles. Most of the turtles in the farm are on the endangered list.

On the ferry boat to "Stingray City" Titan is so proud of himself for being able to sit on the bench like a big boy!
Dixon petted a stingray . He is the one whose shoulders are almost in the water with three people looking at the stingray between them. (just left of the center of picture)
Just before I got in the water to play with the stingrays.
On the last day of the Cruise Dixon entered the "Hairy Chest Contest" He came in second to the guy in the yellow shorts. It was rigged. ;)

Titan and I played in the warm carribean waters at Tabyana Beach.

Hiking up the "Mask Temple" on our Mayan ruins tour. Deb (in the white shirt) is such a trooper. She is almost five months pregnant!

Our Family on our second night on the boat. We had elegant dinner night and everyone was dressed up.

Titan and I were exhausted after playing at the beach.

Titan and Dixon went down the water slide on the boat.

On Saturday, Dec 6, 08, we went to the Surprise Park Party. It had a lot of fun things to see and do. Daddy and Titan playing by the Bubble tower!
Aunt Kelsey is so much fun!!!

Titan petting a live alligator! (Huge tortoise in the back ground)

Titan looking at the "bearded lizard" (or as mommy calls them "horny toads")

There were hot air balloons too!

Titan loved the bubble tower. We set him on the ground and he started screaming. At first we though he was upset. Then we saw the huge smile on his face!!!

Titan has absolutely no fear when it comes to animals. He loves them!

Titan did not seem to care that there was a an adorable baby monkey around. Of course Titan was more adorable so the video quickly changed its focus!

New Pictures of Titan

Here is Titan helping Dixon install the ceiling fan in Titan's room. Titan loves his airplane room!

"Being the pilot is boring! When I grow up I am going to be a wing-walker!"

Daddy got promoted to "Major" and I got to help pull off theold rank and put on the new one! Yeah Daddy!!!!

Getting ready for Halloween

This will be Titan's first real Halloween. Yes, he had Halloween last year, but he did not get any candy (he was only 3 months old) or get the thrill of dressing up in a costume. This is last year's costume. I don't think he really knew that that costume was any different from his regular clothes. I borrowed the costume from a friend since the Italians don't really celebrate Halloween and I could not find a costume in a store for him.
This year he is a Lion. I actually wanted to dress him up as a tiger but I could not find a tiger costume in his size, unless I wanted to pay full price for it. I found his Lion costume at a kids second hand store. Titan has a little board-style book all about Tigers. On the last page it says "Big tigers "roar". Little tigers say "meow" Titan loves to read that book and everytime he sees it he ROARS, just like the tigers. So that is why I wanted him to be a tiger for Halloween. Titan seems to think, now, that every animal roars. Dogs roar, cows roar, fish roar...every animal roars....except, of course, the lion. The lion doesn't say anything. At least he doesn't say anything when I ask him "what does a lion say?" Oh, well.....at least he is cute in his little lion costume. We had a squadron kids Halloween party and a church Halloween party this past weekend. Here is picture of Titan in his Lion costume. I just love my little lion!!!!

We also went to the Tolmachoff Farm last Saturday. The farm is more of a patting zoo/corn maze/pumkin patch. It also sells the produce that is grown there, but I think it makes the most of its money from all of the fun kid stuff. Titan saw lots of animals and also picked out his own pumkin for Halloween. Here are some of the pictures of the fun time we had there.

Oh, BTW, Titan has a new word. It's "Nana". We were in the grocery store the other day and as I was walking through the produce he reached out and said "nana". He was trying to grab a banana.

More cute and not-so-cute things

CUTE!!!

Titan has a sweet, high pitched FAKE laugh. I don't know why but he likes to use this laugh a lot!!! Especially when he is doing something, or about to do something, that he knows he is not supposed to do. The laugh itself is adorable. It literally sounds like "hee, hee , hee". Three little hee, hee, hee's in a pitch that I can't even replicate. I will try to get it in video and post it soon.

Not-So-Cute

Titan loves to throw his food. He thinks it is absolutely hilarious to throw the food on the floor. He really likes it if Rocky comes over to eat what he has thrown. (although Rocky is pretty particular about what food he eats.....no fruit!! or Veggies) Titan laughs his fake laugh when he throws his food, though.

(maybe this next one could be considered cute...you decide. Leave a comment and let me know what you think)
Package checks! Yup, that's right! Package checks! I have to dress Titan in a onesies shirt or one piece pajamas to stop him from doing package checks. Titan discovered his penis about two months ago, but it wasn't until one month ago that he started doing package checks ALL DAY LONG!! or all NIGHT long!!! For a few days in a row Titan woke up with his pajamas soaked all the way through. I originally thought that he had outgrown the size 4 diapers. But the diapers were made for babies 18 to 28 pounds. Titan currently is about 22pounds, so he can't need bigger diapers!!! Then, while I was changing his soaked through diaper, I realized that it was because his diaper was practically falling off from having his hand down the front of his diaper the WHOLE night. So of course his jammies where wet!!! During the day he would do package checks but I had made a game out of pulling his hand out of his diaper so it was funny. But he couldn't have his hand down the front of his pants the whole day because he would need it to crawl around or to eat or whatever. And I give him more diaper changes during the day.
Now I just put him in a one piece shirt (onesies) (which makes him a bit mad, btw) and a one piece zip up jammies. No more wet pajamas in the morning! And hopefully no more package checks.....except at diaper changes. (oh well, what's a mother to do???)

Titan is .......

Titan is .....Walking!!!!
Titan is learning to walk. Each day he takes a few more steps at a time. It is so much fun to see him. He gets such a kick out of it. I love seeing his face light up and hear is sweet laugh when he is going.

It has been pretty difficult to get a video of him walking because he randomly decides to get up on his feet and go. I generally can't get to the camera fast enough. As soon as I get the camera he decides he does not want to walk, instead he wants the camera. Tonight Dixon was home and he got the camera in time to record a few steps. Yeah!! He is walking. Man, I am in for it now!!!

I have a nefew who is the sweetest thing. He loves Titan so much and worries about him all the time. Every time Taydom prays, he always asks Heavenly Father to help Dixon and I take good care of Titan and have fun with Baby Titan.

Taydom is very worried that Titan might fall down the stairs and get hurt. So I put this video on the blog to show Taydom that Titan is really good at going up and down the stairs. I don't think he will get hurt because he does it a lot and really likes it.
